Per VA Code § 24.2-115: If practicable, officers of elections (poll workers) shall be appointed from lists of nominations filed by the political parties entitled to appointments. Please email greenedemschair@gmail.com if you want to be included on that list.
A "pilot program" in Greene to allow officers of election (poll workers) to work a half-day shift on Election Day instead of the entire day was tried out in 2023. The morning shift runs from approximately 5 a.m. until 1 p.m.; the afternoon shift from approximately 12:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
