REORGANIZATION 2026

Reorganization and the Election of Officers

Every two years, the DPVA Party Plan requires all local democratic committees to reorganize.  This effort is meant to

  • reconnect the local Democratic committee with fellow Democrats in the locality;
  • give a chance to affirm or change leadership;
  • review bylaws for needed updates or changes;
  • renew and grow local membership.

The current reorganization is set to take place between Dec 1, 2025 and Jan 15, 2026.

Additional responsibilities during this time include submitting to the local circuit court judge at least three (3) names to be nominated and considered for appointment to the local Electoral Board.  This action must be completed by Dec 15, 2025

So WHO is the most important person in this process right now?

YOU, the Democratic member of the Greene County Democrats!

WHY?  Because we need you to complete the following actions:

  • if you have filled out an official membership application before - we need for you to complete a NEW membership application.
  • if you have NEVER filled out an official membership application before - we invite you to become a full member complete with voting rights to conduct official GCDC business.

Stay tuned in as we will be updating this page with new information as we progress through the Reorganization process.
