Other Area Action Groups

An area chapter of Indivisible, this advocacy group serves the counties of Culpeper, Madison, Orange, and Greene.  They are a local grassroots   organization committed to building a stronger, more supportive community through positive change.

Dedicated to empowering citizens, defending democracy, and holding  government accountable, the focus of this Indivisible chapter is on organizing the Charlottesville, Albemarle, and neighboring counties.

Access to reproductive and abortion care has been stripped from across large sections of the country.   The Blue Ridge Abortion Fund provides a variety of support and resources for those seeking help.

Dedicated to ensuring that EVERY AMERICAN deserves to have their voice heard, Fair Fight works to monitor attacks on voting rights and take action to help preserve our right to VOTE!

Established in 1945, this chapter serves the Culpeper, Madison, and Rappahannock counties and continues their mission toward an inclusive community where all persons can exercise their unalienable rights without discrimination. 

 A nonprofit organization, VPAP provides unbiased data and information about Virginia politics and government for use by the political enthusiast, educator, or engaged citizen.

Founded by Larry Sabato, the Center's mission is to educate and inspire citizens about practical politics and civic engagement through its unique and compelling programs.

Ben's Guide is a wonderful resource that explains all aspects of government from the three branches to how laws are made to the election process.  Designed as an interactive teaching tool for children of all ages starting with age four and up, this site would be a wonderful start for anyone wanting to know more about our government.
