Democratic Volunteers Needed
Per VA Code § 24.2-115: If practicable, officers of elections (poll workers) shall be appointed from lists of nominations filed by the political parties entitled to appointments.

A new experiment with half-day shifts last year was successful and popular, so Greene County has now instituted half-day shifts - but this means we need even more workers.
The morning shift runs from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The afternoon shift from 12:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Volunteer Opportunities to Help Keep our Elections Safe
Greene County Democrats needs volunteers to be:
Poll Observers to report any irregular practices and also to help voters whose registration or eligibility is challenged when voting. Republicans are already challenging voters in Virginia. Training will be provided in September for the November Election.
Poll Greeters to staff the Dems' tables for 2-hour, or longer, shifts on Election Day.
Election Officials to work at the polling stations on Election Day and at the registrar's office during early voting.
